TREE DISPLACEMENT PROBLEM (Seasons/Celebrations Glitch) (04/20/07)
*** You WILL need this info for some of the lots you will find here! ***

There's a problem with the Japanese Autumn Maple tree (found in the Build catalog inside a lot). The problem occurs at the first neighborhood season change. Everything will look fine on all lots, until you play a lot that goes through a season change then go out to the neighborhood, saving the lot. Once you have done that, all lots that have the Japanese Autumn Maple tree on them will have those trees displaced very strangely in the neighborhood view.

If you go into the lot, all will look fine, but going into the lot and coming out (saving or not) won't change anything. The neighborhood view will still be weird. Also, if you go into a neighboring lot after the change takes place, you will see the displaced maple trees from the other lot. In fact, they can show up in very strange places inside the neighboring lots, and there's nothing you can do about it (from the neighborhood, or from within another lot).

The ONLY current solution, is to go into every lot where this happens, take out any Japanese Autumn Maple trees you find, then either just leave them out or replace them with different types of trees. Right now that's the only method that works, as far as I know. I don't know anyone who has developed a mod against this behavior, and so far no patch has corrected the problem.

THERE'S A GLITCH IN PETS that is causing problems with the Service Calls on the phone system, under certain circumstances. This glitch will affect ALL my neighborhoods, until I get new versions made that contain all the NPCs. Please click the graphic at the left, to find out about this serious problem, and three ways to combat it. Thank you.

UPDATE 02/04/07--If you see this note: (Corrected for Pets) under the download link to the neighborhood files (Nxxx folder), the neighborhood is fixed to use with the Pets EP. In those files, all the NPCs have been replaced, I've tested the neighborhoods, and the service calls worked every time. Unfortunately, the download sizes are somewhat larger than they were before this was necessary.

UPDATE 04/05/07--The SEASONS EP corrects this problem. Also, both the new Pets Patch and the new Seasons Patch correct the problem. I'll no longer be making any corrected files. If you have a problem with the service phone calls after downloading any of my neighborhoods after installing the PETS EP in your game, please download and install the latest patch. Thank you.
