Neighborly Sims and The Neighborly
Sims Forum are part of this exhibition.
READ ABOUT GAME GLITCHES THAT COULD AFFECT THESE NEIGHBORHOODS * * * * * * * * * * Each Custom Neighborhood (CN) comes with an SC4 Terrain (all four necessary files) and a Neighborhood folder (complete). If you don't want to use the lot plan as shown in the photo, just download the SC4 Terrain which will only contain the roads (with possibly some trees)--no lots, and no other decorations. If you want to use the neighborhood as shown in the photo (complete with decorations and lots), download both parts. See the VERY IMPORTANT NOTES (below) to learn how to unzip and store the files correctly. Because I have no way of knowing how many CNs you may have added, I began these with the number N100, figuring you probably don't have 99 neighborhoods in your game. When you download and use one of these new CNs, it will stay at the end of the Neighborhood Chooser until you add a new CN that has a higher number. You may also want to download the lots shown below each CN, which may periodically change as I develop new ones. Most lots will be downloaded from the TS2 Exchange. The occasional lot will be posted directly on this site. If you download a lot from this site, you will need to unzip it before double-clicking it to install it to your game. All lots may, of course, be added to ANY neighborhood once they are installed to your "bin." You may install them as many times as you like, if you want to add them to more than one neighborhood. VERY IMPORTANT NOTES: The original Neighborhood (Nxxx) folders are pared to an absolute minimum in order to keep download times as short as possible. This means that there are absolutely NO Sims in the Characters folder. After you enter any lot in the CN, you can either just go ahead and play the game, and the Townies and NPCs will be created on an as-needed basis as you play, OR you can use the testing cheats to add them all at once. For instructions on how to do that, CLICK HERE. Please note the GLITCH notice below. If you are using PETS, please either download the (Corrected for Pets) file, or follow the instructions that are linked to the blue GLITCH graphic. All files are ZIPPED. If you would like additional information about how to handle them, and where to store the files AFTER unzipping them, CLICK HERE.
It should be noted that any lots downloaded from this
site or from any of the links you'll find here, should NEVER be
uploaded to the Exchange or anywhere else in their entirety. That
should be a given with any lot you download from anywhere. You
receive the lots to have fun in your game on your computer. As for
the HomeCrafter content that may be included in the lots, if you use
that content on a lot of your own then upload it to the Exchange,
the correct credits will GENERALLY be shown. Check the CC listing
(the * mark) after you upload. If anything looks as if YOU made it,
and you DIDN'T make it, you should clarify that somewhere--in your
BLOG, in a guestbook entry to the correct person, in one of your own
guestbook entries, or in a BBS entry. Most people will understand,
because the Exchange is flawed in that way. However, some may
request that you remove the download until you clean out the CC made
by them. You should always seek permission to upload lots that will
contain CC, if at all possible. Most people will give that
permission--sometimes with conditions, which you should meet. It's
important to recognize and honor the time and mental energy that
goes into the making of CC, and properly credit the person who did
the work, if it is at all possible. |
