My
Story
|
 |
As this chapter of the Richardson family's saga opens, the trashcan
has been turned over--by someone unknown, who obviously has a
problem with Nina. This should tell us something about Nina's modus
operandi, and set the tone for what is to come Unfortunately, Tom
doesn't seem to be aware of Nina Richardson's negative personality
traits. After all, she IS a distant cousin, and he's known her all
his life. Little does he know what's in store for him. |

|
While
the neighborhood vandal leaves the scene, we see Tom and Andrea
playing a game of pool upstairs in their lovely home, before the
work day begins. Andrea is still feeling pretty athletic, since she
hasn't begun to show yet, and for a while it looks as though she
will win the game. Tom rallies, however, and it begins to look as if
he will claim the win, instead. |
 |
 |
 |
Suddenly
Nina comes running up the stairs still in her nightgown, to tell
them what happened with the trashcan. Andrea acknowledges her, but
keeps watching as Tom decides what his next move will be. For a
while it looks as if his next move will be simply to greet Nina, but
he finally clears the table, and then turns to...Nina, to celebrate,
as Andrea looks on with an air of resignation. |
 |
 |
|
Tom
and Nina head downstairs ostensibly to see about the overturned
trashcan, while Andrea takes a peek at the nursery she's already
prepared, as the organized person she is. She then sits down at the
chess table for a while, trying to decide just what she should do.
Things really are in a muddle. If only Nina didn't live right next
door! |

Downstairs,
the trashcan is forgotten, as Nina begins to flatter Tom about his
business skills. He
really enjoys being flattered like that, since it always seems to
him that Andrea is outdoing him at everything. It seems like their
life has become nothing more than one big competition. Pretty soon
he forgets all about the fact that Andrea is still upstairs, and
begins to flirt with Nina, caressing her cheek.
Nina
touches him back, and that's all it takes. The two are soon engaged
in some tender kissing, and then they realize that it's really each
other they love (or at last that's the way it seems to Tom, who is
so frustrated with Andrea's stubborn ways). |
 |
 |
 |
Meanwhile,
Andrea has gone into the upstairs bathroom to wash her hands, and
has discovered that the sink is doing something very strange! It's
filled with soapy water that is just going around and around, and
not draining as it should. Shaking her head, she unclogs the sink,
then runs some fresh water, washes her hands, and watches the water
drain as it should, before heading downstairs to fix breakfast. |
|
Hearing her approach the stairway, Tom suddenly realizes where he
is, reaches into the refrigerator, and snatches the makings for a
breakfast meal. Then he and Nina run out of the house and over to
HER house to have breakfast together, leaving Nina alone to her own
breakfast. As she reaches the first floor, suddenly the realization
of her pregnancy hits her, and she decides not to go to work. All
the while, she's wondering just how long it takes to pick up one
trashcan! |

 |
So...nothing has been decided, but it would seem there's a definite
trend in the wrong direction. We still don't know what will become
of Andrea and her baby, but it looks very much as if Tom and Nina
will decide to be together. Oh, yeah, and will summer ever get over
at the Richardson house? We'll have to find out the next time we
take a look into their household. |
