I located this little rented farm across the street from the Motherload Barn. Let's hope the tenants don't decide to get in on the questionable activities over there!

I love the simplicity of this market. Not only can your Sims by their produce here, but (as is the case with many college students), if they need an appliance with which to process the foods, those are here, too!

The location for this little restaurant is handy to the market. Have lunch before or after shopping, then head over to H&M, which is just a short way away, too! You may notice that the MAPLE TREE has been left in this lot, since the 2nd Seasons Patch has just come out, that fixes the Neighborhood/Japanese Autumn Maple glitch (among many more things).

Though this little beauty has more of the traditional look, and though it's an academic facility, it really NEEDS to go over on the west side of the mountain, where the road has a little peak in it, since the back corner of the lot dips down just enough to bite into the water table just about anywhere else on the island where you put it. The area where you see it here is almost the only place on the entire island that doesn't have a water table just one click under the surface.

Be careful where you locate it, or you'll end up with this situation. Take a close look at the original photo of this shot, and you'll see the flooded roads at the left of the picture, and then the inlet the lot created naturally, at the right of the photo. I was going to leave the lot there, but then when I went in, I realized it wasn't going to look right, because it turns into sand there, and the lot is painted with bright green grass, plus there's no real reason for the water to be there (no boat or anything).

Then, after I finally found the good place to put it, I went back over and had to use multiple lots placed just right and then removed, to bring the land back up in the other two places. When that happens, when the water table is so high, you get the brightly-colored strange looking areas like in this photograph. They don't hurt a thing, and when you go into any lot that's placed there, you don't see any of the discoloration.

Eventually, as lots are placed and developed, the color goes away, but I just thought I should warn you that all this COULD happen, depending on where you place this lot. I deal with this kind of thing all the time, because I specifically create my neighborhoods to HAVE this high water table, because I LIKE to deal with the natural flow of the water, but I thought most of you wouldn't be familiar with the consequences, and you really don't want to miss downloading and using this cute little library, with its unique design.

This is a very efficient dorm, that reminds me very much of a private boarding school I once visited up in Alaska. Though the rooms may seem simple and impersonal, that's the way it actually is in most dorms, and that gives your students more incentive to decorate their own spaces. Be sure you remember to put their own belongings into their inventories before they graduate, though, or they'll leave it all behind for the next student to get the decorated rooms!

This treehouse wanders through the trees as if it had just grown there! You really need to download it and then go in and look at it, to truly appreciate it. The lot size at the Exchange is incorrect. It says it's a 2x2, but it's a 1x3. It's the overhand in the front that confuses that value, I'm sure. Check it out--I know you'll love it!

You are going to love this lot. You'll want to be careful where you place it. You need a place at the beach that as the corner right at the neighborhood water's edge (as shown in the Neighborhood shot). The land at that corner of the lot dips just a tad, and it will bring the natural water right onto the lot, as you can see by the Exterior pictures. In the Detail shots, you can see that the little dinghy doesn't actually sit right on the water, but it gives the illusion of doing so. Q has done a great job of making it into a cozy little TV-watching nook, so you can get some "boating students" pictures!

By the way, since this is the natural water table, your Sims will actually be able to walk right into it. Give it a try! They won't be able to swim in it, unless you do a little extra work, but they WILL be able to wade out into it and sit in it to watch the clouds or stargaze. You can also dress up the beach area with a little terrain painting and some reeds, to make it look more natural. Every person's lot will look slightly different, depending on where on the beach the lot is placed. Have fun!
