This lot comes with both
neighborhood downloads.
It was created by linarwing.

Send your Sims to the Tree Farm
to get their Christmas trees (I wish).
While they're there,
they can have some hot espresso,
fellowship with each other,
or play a game of chess down on the dock.
If they get cold,
they can light a fire in the stove.

Donovan has built this lovely home
on the lot right next to his tree farm.

In the basement, he has made an ice rink,
complete with all sorts of music sources.

The main floor contains
the living area, dining area,
and kitchen, plus a roomy bathroom.
I just realized that I forgot
the lighting in this area,
but you can easily add it.

The top floor houses the bedrooms
and another bathroom.

There are terraces on each upper floor,
that overlook the icy pond
that joins both of "Sparky's" lots.

Sparky (Donovan) is dressed
appropriately for winter activities.

Note: As you can see,
this is a very large lot.
It uses a lot of memory,
and might not be suitable
to play on machines

in the neighborhood,
and really gives a sense of
authenticity to the island's
wintry look.

Santa and Mrs. Claus did not come
originally with this lot.
I made them in Create-a-Family
and added them to the lot.
They are dressed appropriately
for their role, and for the weather.
As you can see by the last picture,
they are quite in love with each other!

Note that Santa will be driving
a small white pickup this year,
rather than a sleigh!

Gail decided not to work
with the elevation
on most of the Snow Lots.
Instead, she chose to make a
special lot, that now sits
overlooking the boat launch
and the Snow 04 lot,
just below the Snow 20 lot.

As you can see,
the house is surrounded
by snowbanks,
and there are several snowmen
in various stages of completion
scattered over the lot.

The ice rink in the back yard
looks as though
the swimming pool iced over!

This 3-bedroom home
would beautifully suit
a large Sim family
for a winter vacation.

and beverage bar
is the second in a chain.

It is identical to the original restaurant:
The C Shoppe
which was located in a desert area.
The only difference
between the two places
is that the one on Winter Island
is surrounded by evergreens
(and, of course, it has been snowing).

from the Snow Flake Tiny Village.

from within the lot.
I'm not sure if the marks in the snow
on the hillside are from
someone sledding on the hill,
or from someone rolling
large snowballs around
on the hill as the snowman was built!

Next is the upper floor
of the lovely home.
Then there's the lower floor.

Finally, there's the lowest building level,
looking into the carport
and over at the snowman in the yard.

The Fire Tower is situated
high in the hills
on Winter Island.
It used to be a Ranger lookout,
but it was later renovated
to become a residence.
Currently for sale,
it would be a lovely hideaway
for any Romance Sim!

The first three pictures show
the excellent view the tower has
of the ocean and the rest of the island.

The next three pictures
begin at the top floor,
proceed to the middle floor,
then end at the ground floor--
in the lovely solarium.

does not do this house justice.
When you download the lot,
you will get it with a RED roof!!!
The roof pattern/texture
was specially-made for this lot
(see the credits on the Exchange).
There is not a yellow exclamation point
on the download.
However...if you aren't using
custom content and don't have
the special files in your game
that will show correct colors, etc.
(and I don't),
you will not be able to
see or use the red roof!

As you can see by the other two photos,
this home is beautifully decorated,
but not entirely furnished.
It has LOADS of room
for your Sims to furnish
their own Gingerbread House!

in the middle of winter.

The upper floor contains
only the master suite,
but there would be plenty of room

should your Sims require one
at a later date.

The TS2 Exchange version of this lot
was filled with lovely custom content
(recolors and game objects).
At the time this lot was created,
I didn't use CC in my game,
but I got permission from senjul114
to install and showcase this gorgeous home
on Winter Island, and to
offer it as a CC-free direct download
that will be available ONLY
on this site.

The pictures shown here are
from the CC-free version.
Though beautiful, the home is definitely
NOT as spectacular as it was in its
TS2 Exchange version.
Unfortunately, that version
is no longer available for download.

One of the main differences
in the two versions is the way
the fireplaces look.
The TS2 Exchange version has
some great hearths, that simply
can't be duplicated in any way
without custom content.
I compromised, and added some columns
and some half walls with lighting
in order to add interest to the fireplaces.

Another big difference is in the beds.
Though not nearly as gossamer and romantic
as the CC beds in the Exchange version,
the beds in the CC-free version
are at least basically color-matched.

There were a few CC objects that
I could not match at all,
including some great closet shelving
units for the master bedroom.
Again...I compromised and added
several bureaus that fit the decor fairly well.

In the yard, the Exchange version has
snow-covered trees. I couldn't do that,
so I used the winter trees to replace
each white tree in the yard.
If you have the new Holiday Pack,
you could add the leafy trees
with Christmas decorations on them, instead.

I added some white Christmas trees
up on the balconies, plus I put in
several of the new wreaths.
The fence around the pool is now
totally different, too.

The car is different.
The kitchen appliances are
not nearly as contemporary
as the Exchange version,
but the color is good.

All in all, the substitutions I made
seem pretty compatible with the house style.

This one is only very basically furnished.
The upside is that your Sims may
purchase it for just under $20,000!

The plan is very open
and should have a good flow.
You should jump at the chance
to own this lovely home
for a price WAY under its value!
