The Highlands

SC4 Terrain Files*

You must then decorate
the new neighborhood yourself.

N108 Neighborhood Folder**
**You must have

this pre-decorated neighborhood.

This neighborhood was designed as a special project. It was requested by TAZZ5840, from Skye's SIMposium where I'm a member.

TAZZ wanted a place to put all of her castles. I immediately thought of
the Scottish Highlands. Though this neighborhood doesn't resemble them, really, they were my inspiration.

Notice the terraced levels, that all overlook the ocean. Each level has room for a large quantity of lots--both large and small. You will be able to place many of the lots right out to the edges of the ledges, due to the configuration of this SC4 terrain. It's quite amazing, really!

Thanks, TAZZ, for your idea, and for then letting me SHARE the idea and the neighborhood with everyone else!

Douglas Castle
by STW402

Douglas Castle gets its name from Stew's father-in-law, who is from Scotland.
Thus, this is the perfect neighborhood for this castle!

I didn't try to do any interior shots, as this lot will probably be pretty slow on my computer,
but Stew has added some GREAT interior shots on the downloads page
(click the lot name above).

Thanks, Stew, for this LOVELY addition to The Highlands!

NOTE: If you try to put the castle into this exact spot in this neighborhood, it won't work...
until you move the existing trees and flowers. Trash the BIG tree clumps, move the flowers temporarily,
then put in the lot, then build back some trees and flowers where you want them. :-)

Division Bell Keep
by STW402

Here's another great castle created by Stew. This one looks great in The Highlands, too!
Thanks again, Stew, for another great contribution.

Whitewove House
by STW402

This lovely little modern home
has its own crags and waterways.
Looks like a young couple
could get married and move in
at the same time!

Thanks, Stew, for this great addition
to The Highlands.

Lawton Place
by linarwing

Lawton Place sits high atop the small island in The Highlands.

Ethel Lawton has inherited the manor from her parents.
Her name means "Noble Woman of The Highlands."

She met a distant cousin (Andrew Lawton), fell in love with him, and married him.
Andrew's name means "Masculine Man of the Highlands."

Andrew and Ethel reside in Lawton Place. They are also about to have their first child.

Aurora Breeze
by xocaliroxoxox

Ashley has done a great job of landscaping this lot, as well as creating a fairytale castle for modern times! Inside, Aurora Breeze is a maze of wonderful colors and textures.

You'll just need to download it and check it out!

There is HomeCrafter Custom Content in this lot, but no custom objects or recolors. You can see the list of floors, walls, and terrain paints, on the download page. This lot is just perfect for The Highlands!

NOTE: Aurora Breeze was purged from the Exchange. It is now a direct download from Neighborly Sims. There is HomeCrafter CC in it, as follows: Floors by RGiles & xocaliroxoxox; Walls by xocaliroxoxox; Terrain Paints by unknown, Angelsways1, Skye, TheSearaph9000, Michelle0959, HabboArwen, Chcknmn297, Jthaofficer, & Cheryl.

Brunston Estate
by xocaliroxoxox

Here's another modern-day castle fit for Sim royalty! Watch out! It's pricey...but well worth it, I can assure you!

I hope you'll go and download some more of Ashley's LARGE homes on her SimPage, also. She's quite good at making these, don't you think?

Thanks for the use of this lovely lot to help round out the habitation of The Highlands.

Brightwood Estate
by ukpoppyberry

Lisa was taking a break from Micronesia when she made this lot. Brightwood Estate couldn't be any more different than the tiny lots she has made for that neighborhood, except for one thing--the quality!

This is a lovely lot, fit for a king (and a queen, and all the princes and princesses they want to have), as are the other lots in this neighborhood. Have fun moving in a large family, and enjoy the views!

Sacrestina de Bellevue
by ukpoppyberry

Actually, this lovely lot was created by Lisa's teenage son who now has an Exchange user name: ViaRodeo. This is the first lot he created, and I thought it would be perfect here in The Highlands. It's not very large, but one of the nice things about this neighborhood is that it has plenty of spaces for small, medium, and large lots. This serene lot sits comfortably up on that high ridge, and what a view it has of the rough coastline. Hopefully any tenants who move there won't be afraid of heights!
