The members of The Neighborly Sims Forum decided by a brainstorming discussion, what this neighborhood would be. We went through several ideas, and finally settled on a multi-cultural neighborhood. At first we thought about making one base neighborhood in which we would make four parts. However, we wondered how that would work with Seasons. Then we agreed that making a base neighborhood and three vacation locations would be good. While working on the SC4 Terrain, I was inspired to make just one map, but to extend it into four different terrains--each with roads on a separate quarter of the map. It took me two tries to come up with the design you see here. As you can see above, every part of this neighborhood (the base and all three vacation spots) use exactly the same terrain, EXCEPT that each part has its own road area which is used for housing.

AT THE BOTTOM of the island are two tiers which have become Tropical Tangent--the Tropical vacation location. This area is being developed into a complete vacation spot for your Sims. There will be a blend of vacation rentals, hotels, and lots of places for vacation activities. The Tour Guide will appear, and there will even be a hidden destination for you to download and install, which may be traveled to buy finding the Tropical treasure map. Tropical Tangent's weather is always SPRING, so it's a good place to grow things, as well as enjoy some nice, warm, sunny days at the beach without a lot of danger of getting sunburned.

HEADING UPWARD, there are two tiers which have become Orient Bluff--the Far East vacation location. This area is being developed into a complete vacation spot for your Sims. There will be oriental vacation rentals, hotels, and lots of places for vacation activities. The Tour Guide will appear, and there will even be a hidden destination for you to download and install, which may be traveled to buy finding the Far East treasure map. Orient Bluff's weather is always FALL, so it's a good place for learning things (so make sure your Sims spend some time studying), as well as enjoying some still-warm sunny days in the pool.

THE THIRD TWO-TIERED LAYER has become Desert Mesa--the base neighborhood. This area is being developed into a complete community for your Sims. There will be residences, community lots, businesses, and service locations, since this is the permanent dwelling place for the Sims in this neighborhood. Desert Mesa's weather is always SUMMER. Buildings in this area are mostly stucco, and many of them blend in very well with the beautiful desert landscape. Most of the lots will have some sort of water activity to help your Sims cool down, and nice shaded areas for outdoor activities. Of course, all buildings are air-conditioned!

AT THE VERY TOP of the island are three small tiers which have become Alpen Heights--the Mountain vacation location. This area is being developed into a complete vacation spot for your Sims. There are mountainside vacation rentals, hotels, and lots of places for vacation activities. The Tour Guide will appear, and there will even be a hidden destination for you to download and install, which may be traveled to buy finding the Mountain treasure map. The weather in Alpen Heights is always WINTER, which may or may not mean snow. This is a great place for your Sims to experience things like log-rolling, axe-throwing, and other outdoor activities, but you'll want to watch out that they don't freeze to death!
