Its the movie "Kyle's Life". I remember it was somewhere 4-5 years ago when i first watched it (and since then I have watched it again every year) and I loved it. Perfect camera work and perfect storyline. Its quite long, 40 minutes, but really worth watching.

Back To The Past!
[attachment=3643]
My autumn theme for Sims is to start fresh or to return to the days when first met my Sims. With this in mind I have recreated my very first CAS famiy - the Barnes. Manly and Bethany start out with a toddler daughter, Elly.
[attachment=3641]

They live in the very same home across from Woodland Park as the original family.
[attachment=3642]
[attachment=3644]
Happily this time I know how to prevent tragic fire deaths, incurable depression and having thier child taken away by the Social Worker! (Terrible things often happened to my poor Sims way back when!!)

Also, way back when they could visit downtown but did not yet have weather, hobbies, shopping hoods or vacation spots to travel to!

Also, cheats were unknown to me along with helpful bits such as how to use the hammer to take out walls.

Happily for my Sims I was led to the Sims2 BBS where I began to learn so much and met many interesting, helpful 'players' of all ages from all over the globe.

Each time a new Ep or Stuff Pack was released the BBS would light up with chat, questions, helpful hints and complaints.

By the time Sims3 was released many of us owned all or nearly all of the Sims2 Eps and SPs. ( I owned all except for the Holiday Stuff pack untill this past year.)

Learning how to build my own homes and community lots took a good long while. And then it took a while longer before I felt qualified to take part in the building forum. It was a sad day for me when EA down-sized the website and removed that forum.

I always believed that some players were respected, expert builders..so much so that I could never catch up or become a part of the elite. I actually felt intimidated by such expertize back then!

One of the bravest things I did at the Sims2 BBS was to contribute detailed challenges. It still surprises me that my challenges gained some degree of popularity.

Do you remember when EA put up the Sims3 discussion forum well ahead of its release? Some lively conversations, debates and rumors thrived therein! Som swore they would: never leave Sims2, never buy Sims3, would after getting 3 never go back to Sims2.. and so on.

While I do enjoy Sims3 (and have played since its release) Sims2 stands tall on its own merits and remains my favorite of the 2 games. For me Sims remains a creative hobby..one that is given more room in Sims2.

In Sims3, while I can create seperate playable copies of each community (World) the only other 'worlds' that can be added are the 3 premade travel destinations.

With Sims2 I can use either blank maps provided by the game or maps created in SC4 to attach new, interconnected nieghborhoods, downtowns and university campus'.

My Sims 3 Sims often complain about being geographically limited and restricted from relocating to a new town while keeping all of thier family ties and friendships.

There is also the fact that I have, over time, invested (what is for me) a lot of real, hard earned money in Sims2 -- including recently purchasing a second, back up disc of Mansions & Gardens. M & G is the EP disc that runs my game.

So I have found Sims 2 again.

You may ask: why?

Because I have a huge addiction to Sims 3 and I decided NOT to play this game when I am at school. So I will say Hello to Sims 3 again when the school ends. (this sentence reminded too much this line - "Wake me up when September ends". I think in my case it would be "Wake me up when School ends. lol).
So I decided to play Sims 2, because I find getting addicted to it little bit harder. Why? Because I find that in Sims 3 people have more personality and are more different than in Sims 2. So sometimes it gets little boring playing Sims 2.

I have been playing in Pleasantview (quite obvious) and I have this small plan. I wont install all expansion packs right away. Just after some time. It would be more fun then :) And I wont download LOTS of CC like I always do. Just little bit is enough. (except when I find something really brilliant).

So I am starting with my Base Game, Nightlife (but I wont go to downtown and neither of my sims will not wear Nightlife's outfits and hairstyles and their homes won't have Nightlife's furniture), Free Time(I installed it, because I find playing with this little bit easier. I mean those cool Aspiration points orsmth) and last is Apartment Life, because it is the last one and I don't want to change disks all the time.

What CC do I use?
My absolute favourite: http://shinasims.blogspot.com/2011/02/ma...ement.html

Shipping Container Building Challenge

This is NOT a contest. This is an open-ended just for fun design,building, decorating and landscaping challenge.Design and build homes (apartments, community or commercial structures) using any combination of 8x40 and/or 8x20 foot steel shipping containers.

Type 'shipping container home' in your web browser to locate images, information and floor plans. It is a good idea to do this before starting the challenge.

Use a floor plan or create your own.

Guidelines:

*Set your containers in place. A foundation is optional. To do this you will need to build each individual container in its original configuration icluding its walls, roof and flooring. A 4th wall can replace the wide double front doors.

*The entire structure must be based on and created with storage containers only. This includes garages whether attached or detached.

*Decks, balconies and porches may be added.

*The individual containers will then be arranged in preparation for turning them into a home ( or other structure).

*The structure can have just one or several levels.

*Interior walls may now be removed as needed.

*Any roof type may be used.

It is truly amazing how shipping containers can be used to create a wide variety of styles! Some designs use a single container and others combine enough to create apartments!

DIMENSIONS:
4 squares = 8 feet
10 squares = 20 feet
20 sqaures = 40 feet

8 x 40 foot container: 4x 20 squares
8 x 20 foot container: 4 x 10 squares
