It was step 5... there was no new clone legacy, I figured it out though and clicked something in the clone menu instead can't remember what, just surprised it worked _lol
I'm having difficulty finding the dds plugin. It looks like the old link no longer works? I've searched high and low but I'm such a computer idiot that I'm afraid I won't be able to do it. Help?
Hi Neb.. sorry I've not made paintings in so long it's likely this tutorial is massively out of date.
as for the DDS plugin usually google is a good source of info, personally I've started using a combination of GIMP and Paint.net as paint.net already has the DDS plugin built in.
Aaargh you're talking computer at me! It's like speaking Greek to a Roman. I'll whine at my finance when he gets home from work. Maybe he can figure it out. Or time for a new tutorial? Wink wink nudge nudge...
I'll give it a shot. All these programs...

Okay here's a dumb question (yes I'm this computer illiterate), where do I get photoshop and is there a charge for it?
Photoshop isn't a free program where as Gimp and paint.net are as far as I am aware.
Thankfully I figured out the addon for Gimp, so believe it or not, this tutorial although out of date is still very accurate and VERY useful. There's applications this would be useful for apart from paintings... like recoloring rabbit holes.
Now I just need to figure out how to upload the pictures I made :(
We have a section here for new paintings. Feel free to add the .package files as ATTACHMENTS in that downloads section.
I use Paint Shop Pro X (no further than that...don't like what Corel did to the program after that). The PhotoShop DDS plug-ins work with PSP.
Thank you Linda, I'll do that :) You guys rock! (just thought I should mention that.)
