I've made us an Island,
When our simselves all took a cruise to finally all spend some time together they got caught up in a whirlpool and found themselves stranded on "Our Island" First they looked for a way off the Island, a boat or plane or something, not finding anything that was sea worthy or air worthy and being the crazy creative group they are they started to make homes for themselves to live in. While exploring, Simself Linda spotted some old abandoned overgrown buildings, looked like a government building, a science facility and a library, so Linda quickly took the lead to form a sort of Government and held a meeting, there they decided they needed a marketplace to buy food, books, and a place to consign items so those that could fish and garden could sell their fish and produce and those that couldn't could buy them. During this time Linda noticed they were not alone here, she saw out of the corner of here eye here and there some unfamiliar faces, where are they living? she thought to herself... We built all the huts, all except that one we found when we arrived, could they be living underground in the rocky area we saw?????
I did use a bench and a sink from the store but they are not necessary for the world to work, no cc : )

Ooo! Ooo! Ooo!!! I'm so excited that you've uploaded it! I'm going for the final version right now (as soon as the silly site lets me log in). The families are already installed, just waiting on that final version of the island to get installed. I'm SO happy that you've released this, and can hardly wait for the oos and ahs from everyone here, when they see it.
I hope you all can download it right away, because you are simply going to fall in LOVE with this place!!! Susan has outdone herself. I could go on for MONTHS, but...just...download it, y'all!!!
This sounds such fun Susan I am downloading the world now, rec'd it while I was there, but won't have time to install it tonight as it's nearly my bed time, I have work tomorrow and get up early, so will install it tomorrow...... can't wait to see it.
I just downloaded the world and the natives and explorers. I am excited to set this up and try it out.
I came back in to see if I should put the "elemental" families into any PARTICULAR underground home, but you didn't mention suiting one more to water, fire, earth, or air, so I'm just going to go eeney, meeny, miney, moe!
I spent a little time, first, being sure I had ALL of our Sim selves...hopefully I'm not missing any...in place, ready to play!

Linda, I hope there is enough room for all the sim selves, I made each hut 2 bedrooms I hope they all fit!
the underground homes are pretty basic and mostly the same

I got a start yesterday. I ended up having to add a few lots, because I'm using Liz and Breanna and Lydia Bennett, as well as our other "Our Town" members.
This reminds me that I've just added Neb to Our Town (welcome, Neb!), and PMed her about it.
I'll be putting up some pictures in OUR TOWN, probably tomorrow...fighting through a very narcoleptic day today, for some reason...just can't seem to get past the zoning thing to do much of anything.
I started to say that I added extra beach houses to the island yesterday, by simply copying one of the existing ones to the library, then placing several new 15x20 lots along the windy beach road (to the SE), then moving my extra Sims into those.
At first I randomly placed my Sims, but then I began switching some of them out for bigger places for bigger families. This is important, because I'm not starting with my ORIGINAL Sim selves...I'm starting with the ones that were already developing families in my copy of Our Town!
This means that both Faithy, Kim, and Lydia all have two little babies, each, as this was happening before they changed things so that our playable Sims wouldn't be autonomously having babies!
I thought about starting with new copies of the Sims, or evicting the tads, but...nah...I like the babies.
