Awesome! But am I the only person who wished that we could get the Sims to actually SWIM in the sea!!!! Whats the point of a beach if you cant swim in it! Come on EA!!! lol

No, you are not alone there! I couldn't believe that after FINALLY getting ocean swimming in TS2, the new--more advanced--Sims can't swim in either the ocean or the rivers--not to mention ponds! They ought to be able to swim anywhere they like! I can't believe that couldn't get that figured out, when they can walk ANYWHERE in the worlds except for the water! Sheesh!
Then to make the swimming pools with no diving boards, and to go back to having only square corners! That's like going back to CAVEMAN days!!!
And I'm still waiting for a PIANO!!!
I have a story world in mind, but the founding family NEEDS to have a piano. Afer having one in both games before this, PLUS all the other playable instruments--even the violin--in TS2, what on Earth were they thinking, to only make a guitar playable in TS3???!!!

Oh, me too! I was so very disappointed with how little you could do in the game - from not being able to swim in the ocean anymore to not being able to go into the restaurants with the Sims ... All of it ... they made the game too "basic". I have a feeling though, that is because they plan on adding the different items and functions they took away from us back in (at a charge) ... I think they are getting ready to open up those nasty "rabbit holes" because of some of the items they have at the store .... 50's Diner ... hmmm. Why do we need 50's Diner furniture if we can't see inside the Diner? I don't think, though, that there are plans (at least not yet) to open it up as a business the way we knew and loved in Sims 2 with a Chef, etc. And why didn't they give us back our hotels when they gave us WA? It seems like everything they have done with Sims 3 is far less than what we had with Sims 2 ... Well, I guess there really is no sense in complaining about it - it won't do anygood and it's probably high time I start learning to love and enjoy Sims 3 for what it is!

Yes...I've been thinking the same way. I'm still having a hard time getting myself tied into doing anything in it, though. Even though I actually like the CaW program, it's SO involved that I'm afraid I'll never finish a world, either!

OMG DO NOT get me started on a long list of things i cant believe werent added to the Sims 3! Like half walls, indoor foundations (so we can create split levels for crying out loud!), "Play" interactions like Mary Mack etc. , pool tables, musical instruments, and a HUGE thing is the measuring tool for walls and foundations. I think it came with mansion and garden stuff....so when i place walls it tells me the dimensions...God that useful! Why cant we make Lots in apartments either?? Do we REALLY need a WHOLE EP for that??? I cant believe we cant move pictures up and down the walls either! COME ON EA! They are just going steps backwards! If we have beaches we should be able to swim in them, build sand castles, sunbathe and all the stuff that we could do from BV....AHHHHHHHHHHH! I want REAL community lots soo with cash registers and restaurants i can actually SEE INSIDE of...man we had it with nightlife for cryin out loud!

Glad i got all that off my chest! lol...so now u all know why i cant stand TS3! I only create Lots with it...i hardly ever actually PLAY...i REALLY hate the way the sims look too...they move like robots and it kills the whole feel of it

Yup...you have just mentioned all the things we've discussed SO many times around here.
The measurement thing is a BIG miss for me! It actually came in with Apartments, I think...or even the one right before that. I LOVED it, and I totally miss it with TS3!
I also SO want pools of different shapes, and half walls, and stages...all the things you mentioned.
Oh, and...

Thank you! I had to put the spotlight in, it just seemed to "fit"!
