Builderville
Description:

This is a series of bare bones worlds I'm making for building purposes. They do not contain any spawners, decorations, or frills whatsoever. Just roads and empty lots in a variety of sizes. Not recommended for towns you intend to play Live Mode in seriously.

Download links:

Large Lots (50-60 wide, 10-60 high)
Medium Lots (30-40 wide, 10-60 high)
Small Lots (10-20 wide, 10-60 high)

RE: Builderville
The thing is, Meadow, that by changing a community lot in the game, you can actually FORCE it to have at least the community type spawners on it, so conceivably, you could at least play a LIMITED live game.

Still, my main interest is always in building, anyway, and this is probably the type of world I'll always be more interested in. Well done! WINK

RE: Builderville
Thanks, everyone.

Linda, I think you and I still have different ideas on what spawners are, we're confusing each other non-stop hehe. Yes, the lots can be rezoned commercial/rabbit hole etc, and if people take pains to place all the different collectible spawners on them, and rezone everything to have the needed lots, etc, technically the world can be played in Live Mode. Though I don't see why anyone would want to do that, as it looks pretty durn bad, even compared to the EA worlds, lol. And the sheer amount of lots I'm placing on these might drive the game crazy with routing.

I've just completed the small width lot version of this... and last night I completed the medium width one. Unfortunately, the Exchange has had the worlds section down or flakey the past two days.

RE: Builderville
Finally got the medium lot version to upload - linked above. Was forced to rebuild from scratch yet again because of EA's convuluted ideas of "duplicate" files *sigh*.

RE: Builderville
Ok - I stand corrected - the Exchange appears to be down atm so I can't get a link. It did give me a network error the first time I tried to upload, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. The second attempt said it went though, though.

RE: Builderville
Apparently the problem is only occuring in Firefox. When I tried loading the site in IE it popped up fine. Unfortunately, EA has finally figured out a foolproof method of keeping those of us with outdated browsers from using the site. They now dim out the entire page, no matter where you go, rendering every last thing unclickable and barely viewable. This is their third attempt to make us change browsers... I kept bypassing the others because the site was working just fine in IE6 lol.

It's saying that Java is saying that it's out of memory or some such. I tried rebooting after I read that specific error, but it didn't help. Anyone else with Firefox experiencing difficulties or is it just me again?

After the reboot I remembered this laptop shipped with Netscape installed in addition to IE6... it's just as old a version so I wasn't expecting it to work. But it did. So i got the link and attached it above.

RE: Builderville
Meadow, I'm using Firefox (the very latest version), and am having no problems whatsoever accessing the TS3 pages. I have a feeling they were just having MULTIPLE problems earlier, resulting in you not being able to get in with FF.

The latest version, btw, came out just a couple of weeks ago, I think. I just picked it up two days ago.

It changes the way tabs come up. Now the new tabs that you open from link, come up next to the tab you're on, not at the very end of the whole list of tabs. I like it that way, but am having a bit of a learning curve remembering where to look for the new tab I just opened! WINK

RE: Builderville
You're welcome. =)

It was site problems... it's working again. =) Why it worked fine in the 'unsupported" browser and the other old browser and not the almost current one I have no idea lol.
